Privacy statement of De Taartrovers

Stichting Taartrovers Festival (hereafter: TF) respects your privacy. TF does not collect personal data about you during your visit to our website unless you choose to provide that information to us.

TF takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. We do our utmost to ensure that the information of our visitor is properly secured. Only those persons for whom it is necessary or customary by virtue of his or her position will have access to the systems on which personal data are stored. The systems are equipped with access codes and security systems. Use of the personal data provided by you
TF uses personal data that you have enhanced solely for the purpose for which you have provided the data to us. When you send e-mail or other messages to us, we may retain those messages. If you request information about activities, products and services, TF will process the data to meet that request. If you submit an (open) application, we process your details in the context of the application procedure. If you have shared your e-mail address with us during the festival for the purpose of the newsletter or the survey, we will process your name and e-mail address for these purposes. If you wish to become a friend of the TF, we ask you for full name and address information, e-mail address, telephone number and information that should enable the financial settlement of a possible transaction. We keep this information until you wish that this data may no longer be kept by TF.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we will process the information you provide in the context of newsletter by e-mail. This concerns email address and possibly first and last name. For the newsletter we use Mailchimp as a mailing service, here you can find their Privacy Statement and their Terms of Service. The email addresses that TF collects for the newsletter remain protected within the Mailchimp environment and are used for sending newsletters, updates and invitations by mail. Should you decide not to receive a newsletter from us, you can find a unsubscribe / unsubscribe button at the bottom of every mailing.

Transfer of personal data
Your personal data will be used confidentially by the TF employees and not shared with third parties. TF may decide to retain and provide certain information if this is necessary to protect the rights of TF or third parties. In other cases, TF will not provide your personal data to third parties without permission, unless the law requires TF to do so.

Use of (professional) relationship data
TF stores data from the contacts of festival partners, funds, press and journalists, or other festival relations. We only store personal data within our secure server, such as first name, last name, email address, job title, business address and the telephone number provided by you. This contact information is used to get in touch with the relevant party regarding collaborations, invitations or information provision. In the case of accreditation requests from the press or industry, we also process a passport photo in addition to the above data in order to create a personal festival badge.

Image and sound recordings
During the festival, TF, our photographers or our partners can make image and / or sound recordings of the visitors. These are used for promotion via various media channels of TF. The visitors will always be informed of the presence of photographers or videographers. Should you decide not to want this, you can indicate this on the spot and we will not take pictures of you and your child. It is also possible to contact the festival after the end of the festival to view photos and, if desired, to have them removed or to restrict their use and / or prohibit them. Finally, it is possible, when you see that unintentional use is made of a photo of you and/or your child, to email us to remove this photo immediately. From volunteers of the festival we store name, email address, telephone number, passport photos and other information that is relevant to the performance during the festival (possession of a driving license, allergies, T-shirt size, dietary requirements, preferred tasks). This for the purpose of functioning during the festival, making a festival badge and to be able to get in touch with the volunteers. This data is stored on the secure server, where we store it for the next festival edition to possibly come into contact with you again. If you wish, you can contact us to change or delete it. 

 Cookies and Google Analytics
Through our website a cookie is placed from the American company Google, as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and get reports on how visitors use the website. This data is stored and processed within Google. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this. Look here for the privacy and terms of Google. You can refuse the use of cookies by choosing the appropriate settings in your browser. Consult the manual of your browser. 

 Ticket sales
Ticket sales for the TF are arranged through the relevant film theaters. For further information about the privacy of these film theaters, please contact them. 

 Click through to other sites 
On the pages of the TF website, the possibility is offered by clicking on websites of other companies. TF is not responsible with regard to the handling of personal data by parties of these other websites. TF therefore advises you to carefully read the policy or statement regarding the operation and protection of personal data of these non-TF sites, as the conditions on these sites may deviate from the terms and conditions of TF.

You are entitled to inspect, correct, supplement, delete and protect your data, in accordance with the provisions in the General Personal Data Regulation. If you want to use one of these rights or if you have questions about our privacy policy, you can contact us by e-mail at To prevent abuse we can ask you to identify you adequately. When it comes to access to personal data linked to a cookie, you must send a copy of the cookie in question. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. The information that Google collects is anonymised as much as possible. Your IP address will be anonymized, so that your data can no longer be traced back to you. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. You can only delete cookies yourself, as they are stored on your computer.
